When September comes around, it’s never too early to put up your holiday home decor in the Philippines! | Image from Unsplash
It’s that time of the year again! The Philippines is known to have one of the earliest and longest Christmas festivities in the world. The beginning of ber months—from September to December—cues the start of holiday cheer. Not to mention Jose Mari Chan’s hit record “Christmas in Our Hearts” in full swing almost everywhere you go. In a pre-pandemic world, this season means local shopping malls are already bustling with Secret Santas searching for unique Christmas gifts and early holiday home décor shoppers. Travel hot spots and popular garden parks would be brimming with locals and tourists, and of course, never-ending social gatherings are happening far and wide.
Festivities this year will inevitably be different. Huge get-togethers might not be possible due to lockdown protocols, church attendance is limited, and outdoor leisure activities are restricted. But as generally festive and resilient citizens, Pinoys are not the ones to throw in the towel on Christmas celebrations. There are still ways to keep the magic of holidays alive despite having to stay mostly indoors. For instance, homeowners are doubling down on their holiday home décor this season. Many will be spending more time indoors, after all. So why not bring the festivities right into your own luxury house?
There are countless ways to make your luxury house Christmas-ready, but if you want to elevate your setup this year, consider going beyond your usual decorating staples. It’s time to untangle the Christmas lights, dust off the lanterns, and deck those halls and corners. Here are some new and easy holiday home décor ideas to inspire your holiday display.

How to Decorate your Home with Holiday Home Decor
A) Begin with a Styles and Stocked Bar Cart
Bars are definitely one of the busiest areas of a home during a party. All celebrations call for a toast and a bit of mini Hors d’oeuvres, after all. Anyone who loves to entertain guests knows that a bar cart is a convenient piece of holiday home décor for any gathering as they are stylish, entertaining, and functional. Roll them out to display your drinks, some treats, fancy dinner wares, and other holiday party essentials. Just be careful not to overstuff. It’s tempting to fill every tier of your bar cart with treats, but make no mistake—a cluttered space can be a sight for sore eyes. Keeping things minimal lets the bar cart shine even more.
Start with the basics: bring out your best wines, some spirits to appeal to all family members’ or guests’ drink preferences, as well as a good decanter and wine glasses. Beautiful holiday home decor, bottles and some fancy glasswares already look festive and sophisticated on their own, but you can make your bar cart even more celebratory by putting seasonal touches like metallic accents, glitz, some reds, and blues, or a pop of natural color from pine leaves, dried foliage, or indoor plants.

You can also stock up your bar cart with alcohol-free beverages like tea, hot chocolate, or mocktails. | Image by Kadarius Seegars via Unsplash
B) Bring Out the Christmas Wreath
A festive luxury house is not complete without a Christmas wreath. Even if you are not hosting a huge holiday gathering this season, you can still place a beautiful wreath on your doors for a welcoming and warm atmosphere. But if hanging a traditional wreath is too predictable for your liking, you can always add your own twist. Instead of the usual evergreens, add a refreshing yet stylish touch to this classic holiday home décor by adding faux or real citrus fruits like clementines, lemons, or limes. You can also take the floral route by hanging a homemade wreath of fresh or faux flowers.

Another idea: convert your holiday wreath to a beautiful centerpiece on your dinner table. Lay flat a wreath on the table and add some elegant candles or a glass vase right on its center. You can fill the vase with dried pinecones or string lights. Better yet, elevate your wreathe centerpiece by adding a cake stand instead. No matter your preference, the Noche Buena feast will not be the only star on your Christmas table.
The natural aesthetics of Christmas wreaths surely accentuates the rustic appeal of Swiss-themed homes. Case in point: the Swiss Chalet-inspired luxury houses for sale at Crosswinds Tagaytay. These Brittany homes exude a warm ambiance, attractive monochromatic palettes, and country-side appeal that set the perfect Swiss Christmas experience – with wreaths on top!
C) Try Going Au Naturel with Your Holiday Home Décor
If adding fresh flowers or real fruits to your Christmas wreaths suits your taste, why not take it to another level by going full au naturel on your holiday home décor? Many have found comfort in collecting houseplants and spending more time with nature during the pandemic. That’s why a lot of homeowners are moving to luxury houses closer to nature. Meanwhile, others prefer to revamp their spaces with earthy interiors, organic materials, and natural elements like jute strings or rattan baskets. That said, if you want a festive home that leans more on peace and calm rather than loud and grand, or if you decide to be more eco-conscious this season, you can never go wrong with decking the halls in all-natural style.

The best thing about all-natural home decors is they bring the calmness of the outdoors indoors.| Image by Steve Lieman via Unsplash
Nothing can beat the natural look and refreshing smell of fresh greenery. Instead of the usual store-bought metal or plastic trinkets as your holiday home decor, opt for natural and wood accents like boughs, house plants, or candle-filled lanterns, or reclaimed wood accents. Pinecones and evergreen sprigs are also versatile holiday decors that can look good everywhere. Use them to build a real mini Christmas tree or place them on the dining table for an elegant holiday tablescape. You can also stick them on doors, banisters, or on your cupboards to inject the seasonal feels from room to room.
If you want to take this eco-friendly holiday home décor idea to another level, try including some upcycled pieces into your setup as well. For instance, you can reinvent your used glass bottles as Christmas vases by adorning them with jute strings and some fairy lights.

Natural holiday home decors not only add more authentic and relaxing vibes to your luxury house, but they are also compostable and easy to upcycle. | Image by Alisa Anton via Unsplash
E) Extend the Holiday Vibes on Your Outdoor Space
One of the greatest upsides of owning a luxury house and lot is having a huge indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. For instance, luxury mansions for sale in Brittany Sta. Rosa includes the spacious Promenade mansions, whose lot areas range from 697 sq. m. to 803 sq. m. With these expansive spaces, affluent homeowners definitely have more freedom in planning and putting up their holiday home décor no matter the occasion. This year’s holiday season might not give you the chance to flaunt your indoor setup to various guests like usual. So what do you say about adding some festive accents outside your home too?
Let your luxury house spread the holiday cheer far and wide, and be the talk of the block as well, by transforming your outdoor space. The first subject: your front door.

Welcome every onlooker with a “Silent Night” vibe and soft lights. | Image by Nazrin B-va via Unsplash
Make a bold impression by repainting your front doors with Christmas holiday home decor hues—think of olive greens or festive reds. Then, jazz it up with simpler seasonal touches like a holiday wreath, trailing soft lights and ornaments, a simple Christmas tree, and a few outdoor plants. For those who like to keep things light and easy, simply letting the huge pine wreath get the entire spotlight should do the trick. A quick reminder: do not overdo your decors. Front doors are one of the most used features of a home, after all, so you wouldn’t want to sacrifice their purpose.
Another outdoor décor setting is your backyard or home garden. If your space would allow, set up wooden tables and chairs outdoors where the whole family can enjoy holiday nights. For extra festive and cozy ambiance, adorn the place with soft string lights and cozy throws—now you have a perfect setup for small bonfires and roasted s’mores fest.
Home is where the (Christmas) Heart Is
Did any of these holiday home décor ideas inspire the next holiday setup of your luxury house? Decorating your home for the Christmas season does not have to be rigorous. The right ornaments plus the warmth of celebrating with your loved ones are surely enough to make your spirits bright. With these, your luxury house will surely be the merriest home on the block.
And no matter what the occasion, you can always return home to Brittany’s warmth, joy, and safety. Explore Brittany’s ready-to-occupancy residences for a deeper look at the majestic architecture, prominent location, and unrivaled grandeur of luxury homeownership.

So, if you are still worried about the dilemma of whether to brave a night flight to selecting the best kids-friendly hotel and curing jet lag, here are some top tips to ensure a family holiday that still feels like a luxury.

Check the passports before you travel with kids
Many of us know that we need a passport to travel abroad. What you might not know is that your passport has to be valid for months before your scheduled trip. Most countries require at least 6 months of validity while others require less.
So, make sure to check everybody’s passports for expiry dates months before your intended travel, particularly the kids’.

Travel with kids = Planning the trip
From where you will be staying to how you will get to your destination, it’s worth putting in the hours so you know exactly what to expect when you get there. Many affluent families refer to luxury travel advisors to take the stress out of planning for luxury travel with kids.
You have definitely booked your flights for your trip, but remember that your pre-booking shouldn’t end there. You might be used to showing up at a destination, getting a feel for the town, experiencing the culture and exploring the place, going on endless adventures, and picking a beautiful place to stay. This doesn’t work with kids.
When you arrive in a new place, you’ll want to go straight to your hotel room, drop off bags, and allow your kids to rest if necessary. This is especially true if it has been a long journey to get to your destination.
It is important that you should know where you’re staying before you arrive. Anything that you can book ahead of time lessens the things you have to worry about while trying to keep your family happy on your trip.

What to do on the plane
Some of the best luxurious destinations require long-haul flights and as we all know, long haul is still doable, even after parenthood. The chance that the kids might sleep, for a bit, is preferable to trying to keep them entertained for hours in a very limited space. This will be very challenging so brace yourself.
Travel hacks when you travel with kids
Traveling with kids can be very rewarding, but it also entails a lot of work. It translates into more time packing, increased baggage fees, and more patience and hard work.
But know that you can hack a lot of common problems that arise when traveling with kids. Here are some travel hacks that every parent needs to know before your next vacation.
1. Use butterfly clips to construct a blanket tent over your kids while they sleep. Aside from being a source of fun and entertainment, it can protect them from glaring overhead lights and screens, which gives them a chance of staying asleep.
2. Getting through an airport without a stroller seems impossible for some parents, so consider switching out your regular-size stroller for a portable, more compact, umbrella stroller. There are yoyo buggies that can be taken on as hand luggage, which can make your trip easy and hassle-free.
3. Consider onesies for children to wear on the plane. They are cozy and easy to change too.
4. Everyone is used to bringing hand sanitizer along when traveling. But remember that we have to ensure that the tray tables, window shades, and even armrests of an airplane are also clean so it is best to bring a pack of antibacterial wipes to wipe everything down before taking a seat.
5. Pack light and don’t overdo your hand luggage.

Your carry-on bag shouldn’t be too big nor too bulky lest you end up being overwhelmed. | Image from pexels
6. There are fun and tactile ways to keep kids busy if they’re sitting next to a window, and won’t leave a mess.
7. Bring snacks and make sure to go for variety and volume. Giving kids a snack can also help pass the time on a flight.
8. Enjoy shared responsibility as parents – even with the seating arrangements. Take one child each and sit in pairs
9. You have to explain the journey to your kids, especially if it is their first time flying and traveling in general. Let them know what is going on and what to expect. Encourage them that traveling is fun and that airplanes are interesting too! Why don’t you try igniting some wanderlust in them before the trip by counting planes on the tarmac, guessing where the other passengers are traveling to, and looking out at the clouds, houses, and oceans too.
For night flights when you travel with kids
With cramped airplane seating, riding a plane isn’t the most pleasant experience, especially if you have rowdy kids. Little children are not really into sitting quietly for hours and they usually get scared of the ear-popping changes in air pressure.
If you have a long plane ride, make sure to buy a few small, cheap toys, wrap them up, and surprise your kids as soon as they start to get antsy. Unwrapping the toy becomes a whole activity for them. This way, the kids can spend time unwrapping and then playing with the toys. Imagine how you can kill at least half an hour per toy.
Manage your jetlag
Crossing the country can throw a wrench in your kids’ sleep schedule. According to whattoexpect.com, jet lag is temporary and typically lasts for just a few days in babies and toddlers before they have adapted and are back to normal. You will know if your kids are out of sync with their sleep needs if they are either fussy or extra clingy. Depending on your child’s age, adjusting to jet lag can be tricky.

Hotel stay

If you travel to the Philippines, the interior of your hotel room should be like the Lawrence of Promenade in Santa Rosa by Brittany Corporation.
When you’re traveling with the kids, do your best not to hotel hop anymore. If you’re going to a different part of the city, obviously, you will have to look for another lodging. However, if you’re staying in the same general area for the entire duration of your trip, it will be a lot easier and more convenient for you and your family if you stay at the same place for the entire time.
The Kid’s Club
Vacations should always be relaxing but when traveling with kids, it can be hard to keep them entertained. Many luxury resorts offer special kid’s club programs and activities for enrichment and fun, so parents may relax and enjoy their time together. But remember, these luxury hotels are not geared primarily to kids. They pamper adults while also offering kids clubs and services that children will love, too.
When it comes to family, we know that there is nothing better and more important.
Nothing opens children’s minds like new experiences, new places, new encounters, and you’ll get plenty of these no matter where you travel.
So, make sure to use some of our tips to make your trip easier and more fun. Always remember to enjoy it. Leave lots of time, pack your things well, and make the travel part of the entire journey. Know that you and the whole family will be okay, and you’re supposed to be enjoying yourself!

As it has been said that it’s your safe haven, it is only right and just to keep it as pleasing to the eyes as possible because this would be the last thing you’ll see at night and the first thing in the morning. Not that it should only be satisfying for your visuals but also should be as comfortable as it can get because this would be your resting place, your last stop after your long and tiring day at work.
Everyone probably dreams of having their own master’s suite; laying down in a soft and big mattress, getting ready in your walk-in closet, prepping up in your own toilet and bath, or just drinking a cup of coffee in your own balcony as you start your day.
One of the offerings of Brittany by Vista Land is their Pietro unit with a Floor area of 264 sqm. It includes a grand master’s suite with its own walk-in closet, and toilet, and bath. Now, when we speak of the good life and luxury, how do we picture the room? What would you do with your x-sqm bedroom and how would you make it your own private sanctuary?
Here are some items you may need to check off your list that needs to score their place in your room to achieve that elegant look:
What you need to create the perfect luxury master suite
Light colored walls
To create a modern and vibrant look, it would be most recommended to use light-toned walls or neutral-colored wallpapers to make the room look more elegant and neat. This would help a lot in highlighting your room’s accent pieces such as paintings or your grand chandelier. It also adds upon making the room feel brighter and less humid. White painted walls also create an illusion and make the room look even larger and spacious.
Neutral-colored and white curtains or drapes for your luxury master suite
Part of the features of the houses in Brittany is that their master’s bedroom has its own balcony. People nowadays are really getting into designs with a minimalist vibe and a vibrant theme. To highlight your balcony and to give the room plenty of natural light, it would be best to use light-colored curtains as well. White curtains would allow light from the outside to filter through even when you’ve decided to shut them out for privacy. If you wanted to fully block out all outside light, you may opt to use drapes instead. It would definitely complete off the classic and elegant look and it would blend nicely with dark-colored or patterned accent curtains as well.
Own small living space or working table
Considering the new normal today brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, most of us are required to work or study from home. It has been a challenge for most workers on finding where they could work comfortably and a spot where they won’t be disturbed. Not in your own bed, not on the sofa in front of the television, and definitely not in the dining room. Which better place would that be if not for your own bedroom? It would be nice to have your own spot at your house where you can work and focus using your own ergonomic chair and work table. You can probably design it the same way your office table looks like, with a drawer beside where you can put in all your documents and supplies, a laptop stands that you can adjust to your liking, a small indoor plant in the corner of the table and probably a minimalist table lamp to complete off the look. For people who don’t want work and their personal life get mixed up, may separate their own study room. If so, the extra space in your bedroom would also be a good area to put in a small sofa set or an accent chair where one can read a book.
A luxury master suite is not complete with a room’s art piece
They said to never underestimate the power of a single statement piece. Maybe it is a sculpture, or a room wall painting, an art piece plays a very important role in setting up and maintaining the overall mood of a certain room. Selecting your room art may be a bit different from picking out one for your living room because this one’s got to be a little personal. It would be better to have a piece that has your own touch or may depict your personality. A painting of the ocean or a mixture of different colors of blue for people who love the beach would definitely be a good pick.
Good lighting
As much as an art piece or a grand king-sized bed, lighting in your bedroom is also as important. They say lighting sets the tone of the room and completes a design. Surprising as it may seem but there is a specific type of lighting that should be used for a specific kind of theme. It has been considered by experts as the cheapest yet most influential accessory in interior design. Good thing that there are innovations nowadays like dimmable LED Lights that lets you choose what kind of lighting you would want for the night. To add up an aesthetic tool, featuring a central ceiling-mounted fixture like flush mount ceiling lights, chandeliers, pendant lights, and such, would definitely be a necessity.
A perfect luxury master suite has its own toilet and bath
As your room is your own personal sanctuary, the extension where you do your private things should also be given attention. A bathtub, or a Jacuzzi is definitely a must-have for your own toilet and bathroom. Imagine soaking yourself in warm bubbly water, drinking a glass of champagne while catching up on your go-to TV series from the wall-mounted television in your bathroom. Definitely pays off your hard day at work.
Organized walk-in closet
Part of the layout of Brittany house models is your own personal walk-in closet. Though the main objective of the room is the storage for your clothes and accessories, it would still be nice to step up your organizing skills for a bit. A tip from an expert is that for you to be able to wear everything, you need to see them. Instead of storing your purses and shoes in your cabinet and drawers, it would be nice to display them and put them on open shelves. Keeping it organized, may it be by color, size, or type, it pays off to not have a hard time looking for that pair of boots you just bought or that cute pink sweater your friend gave you in the morning as you prepare yourself to go out.
Linens and beddings
They come in all different colors, prints, and sizes and it definitely can be a bit confusing what to choose. It is always best to go with white or neutral colors to get that hotel-like elegant finish. It may seem simple but it actually is a little complicated than we think it is. There are different parts of the beddings such as the top sheet, bottom sheet, bedspread, throw blanket, comforter, and different sizes of pillow covers. If you want to go with single-color bedding but don’t want it to look too plain, an accent or decorative pillow should do its job.
Room fragrances can make any room a luxury master suite
Lastly, to complete the look and experience of your warm and cozy master suite, one shouldn’t forget the room fragrance or perfume. As we say, to look nice and fancy would be great but to also smell elegant would be the cherry on top. Putting in a reed diffuser or spraying pillow/linen mists should get everything settled. Nowadays, a humidifier or an air purifier would also be essential to keep a good night’s sleep.
As we say that the bedroom is your most personal space out of all parts of your home, it is only vital to keeping it aesthetic, organized, and comfortable for you. One should make use of the space efficiently, without stuffing too many things in it to also avoid making it look suffocating. Though your room is the one place where you have a lesser audience, keeping it exquisite and elegant is still a must. As this is the place where you rest, sleep, prep up, reflect or even work, it is just as important as designing the other parts of your house.

We are celebrating World Heart Day this September 29, 2021, and what better way to celebrate this special day than by looking for ways to boost our heart health. We were taught in school that the heart is one, if not the main, most important organ in our body because it allows blood to circulate around our body. The blood then sends oxygen and nutrients and in return, removes carbon dioxide and other waste products for healthy body functioning. A lot of people are ailed with high blood pressure.
We prevent the early onset of common cardiovascular diseases such as abnormal heart rhythms, coronary heart disease, hypertension, heart attack, heart failure, and many more by boosting our heart health. In this article, we give you 7 tips on how to strengthen your heart. To give you a quick preview, these tips all pertain to a change in lifestyle and will be more effective if done altogether.
How to Boost Your Heart Health Easily
1. Exercise Daily for that regulated heart health blood pressure.

Knowing what exercise routine to follow will help you achieve your health and fitness goals. | Image from pexels
In almost every health matter, it is always good to keep the body active. Cardio exercises are the best when it comes to boosting your heart health and lowering high blood pressure. According to a Johns Hopkins exercise physiologist, aerobic exercise or cardio is the best for heart health because it promotes circulation which will result in lowered blood pressure, improves your endurance, helps control blood sugar, and in consequence, reduces the risk of getting type II Diabetes.

Some examples of aerobic exercises include brisk walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, cycling. These exercises will not just train your heart and body but also torch those calories. Studies reveal that at least 30 minutes of cardio workouts every day will help you hit the ground running.
It is also important to note that you should observe your body while you work out. Don’t push yourself too much because you will gain strength over time. Fitness can’t be achieved overnight and you can always take breaks in between sets to stretch your muscles and catch your breath. Consult your doctor before testing a new workout regime if you have just recently healed from an injury or illness.
2. Eat Food Rich Omega 3 to lower blood pressure

Omega-3 rich food such as fish, nuts, and plant oils are proven to boost heart health. | Image from Pexels
A great deal of our health is also depending on what we consume. Food serves as our energy and we must pay attention to what we give our bodies. It’s true that you can eat anything in moderation, but moderation is also a subjective term and the perfect food planning really depends on our health condition. What we eat can directly affect our chances of heart disease. Those that do not eat healthy fats nor a healthy diet are at great risk of heart disease risk.
Have you ever heard of fatty acids? The term has a negative connotation because of the word “fatty” and we automatically assume it’s bad for our health. But in reality, these are actually vital nutrients, especially for heart health. Omega-3 are fatty acids that can be found in oils, nuts, and fish. Since the body doesn’t produce this, it’s important that you consume food rich in Omega-3.
Omega-3 boosts heart health and reduces the risk of a heart attack. Studies have shown that the benefits of consuming Omega-3 rich food will show just after 3 months of regularly including them in your daily diet. Food can really control risk of heart disease risk factors. Food can control blood pressure and can make a heart healthy overall.
3. Have A Reasonable Sleeping Schedule to avoid high blood pressure

Sleep is important because it recharges our bodies and strengthens our immune system to fight parasites that enter the body.
Everyone needs sleep. Our bodies need sleep because we need to rest but this is also where our brain works to heal parts of our body that need it. While asleep, the body produces white blood cells that can attack the viruses or wounds in our body. The immune system is dependent on sleep to ward off parasites and if you don’t get enough sleep, this weakens.
Sleep gives the body a break and if you don’t get enough hours of sleep, it weakens your body as a whole. Poor sleep quality affects our mood and energy levels which may lead to anxiety and depression which are risk factors for heart ailments. Heart health and sleep are closely related in that sense. Having a reasonable and consistent sleep schedule will prevent us from having this chain reaction.
Sleep problems such as insomnia and sleep apnea can lead to heart problems if left untreated.
4. Manage Your Stress for your Heart Health

Managing stress is easier said than done but it’s better to know that you are in complete control of how to deal with it. | Image from pexels
Stress is unavoidable especially these days. Many stressors are present, including the ongoing health crisis which adds to our personal worries. Stress manifests in our bodies and can trigger heart health problems. Our organs are interconnected with each other which is why mental health can significantly affect other organs, including the heart. Since we can’t eliminate stress, what we can do is learn how to manage them.
We cope with stress differently and some things that you can try to combat stress is to talk to your family and friends, disconnect from social media for a while, meditate, write journal entries about your day or what you’re grateful for, work out, watch movies, listen to music or podcasts, and reconnect to things that you really enjoy doing.
5. Drink Alcohol in Moderation
Studies conducted on the relationship between alcohol intake and heart health have been yielding mixed results. Some claim that alcohol can be good, while some claim it can cause adverse effects. A recent study published just this July claims that moderate alcohol intake may not just be acceptable but also may even be protective for people who have heart ailments.
This study, which is said to have the largest to examine the effects of alcohol on the heart, reports light social drinking reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart problems. But this does not mean one can just drink to their heart’s content. Before deciding to drink, let’s talk about the definition of terms.
By one serving, it means 12-ounce beer, one 5-ounce glass of wine, or 1 ½ ounce of liquor. Alcohol nowadays comes in big containers and has different alcoholic content levels. These are also important factors that you need to consider before drinking.
6. Don’t Drink Your Calories
This tip is closely related to watching what you consume. But this tip is more focused on what you drink. Heart health is also about making sure your glucose levels are normal. It’s best to reduce your intake of sugary drinks because not only do they add calories but also greatly affect your blood sugar. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), high blood sugar can damage blood vessels and nerves that control the heart.
People diagnosed with diabetes are also at higher risk for heart diseases because of too much “bad” cholesterol and high blood pressure.
7. Visit Your Doctor Regularly

Visiting your doctor regularly will allow you to know the status of your heart health and what measures need to be undertaken to pre-empt severe heart ailments.
This last tip goes without saying. It’s always better to know your heart health in order to know what steps you need to undertake. If there is something to change about your lifestyle, it’s best to know it early on so you can start working on it.
The doctor will know what to recommend and will ask you to return for another checkup. Always show up at your scheduled checkups because health should always be your top priority.
8. Prioritizing Your Heart Health at Brittany
Heart health day is not just celebrated every 29th of September but it should be every day. Health has always been the top priority even before the pandemic began. In order to live your life to the fullest, you should be in and good health. Everything is dependent upon your actions. The doctor may be of big help when it comes to giving advice on what steps need to be done but the execution of these recommendations depends entirely on you.

What is Vegan Travel?
Vegan travel pertains to living a vegan lifestyle while away from home, which means living in a way that avoids contributing to any exploitation of animals or cruelty to animals, as much as possible.
Most vegan travelers focus on the food aspect of vegan travel, but there are other factors to consider as well. This can be as conscious as a vegan refraining from using toiletries that have been tested on animals as well as avoiding exploitative animal tourist attractions such as zoos and aquariums and activities such as elephant rides.
How Do Vegans Travel?
Vegans travel in various ways. Some vegans enjoy backpacking while others prefer to pamper themselves by staying in a luxury vegan resort or hopping on one of the popular vegan river cruises.
If you’re new to vegan travel and are a bit nervous about it, you could hire a vegan travel agency to help plan your trip. But if you’re happy to do the planning yourself, vegan independent travel is definitely an option.
However, when traveling, vegans usually read the menu before going to the restaurant or request for the restaurant to veganize a dish. Thus, it is necessary to research the destination you are planning to visit.

Is There a Luxury Vegan Group Tour for Vegans?
World Vegan Travel is a luxury group tour company whose owners have been vegans for over 13 years and discovered through their own experiences that vegan travelers didn’t always get the best quality experience for their money when exploring different places.
This was their inspiration in putting up the said group tour company.
Although group travel might not be the top choice for everyone, traveling with like-minded people creates a more relaxing and enjoyable environment for them.
World Vegan Travel spends months working with all of the hotels, restaurants, and cafes on the trips’ itinerary to plan delicious and local-style meals, organized.
But it doesn’t end there. Other aspects of the trip are adapted too, which includes choosing hotels or accommodations with vegan-friendly furnishings and creating the itinerary to include learning about animal conservation in that area.
On some holidays, travel takes over to customize and organize an entire hotel for a group trip.
World Vegan Travel’s previous tours have included Thailand, Vietnam, France, Germany, and Rwanda including a visit to see wild gorillas. They also often partner with popular vegan writers and podcasters on their tours to include vegan-related talks during the trip.
With this, we can see that more and more hospitality and travel companies continue to capitalize on the trend. As the world begins to carry travel restrictions and we start to permit ourselves to plan to get away from all of it, our wish list is quickly turning into our ‘must visit again soon’ listing.

Best locations for you to experience sunset views in the Philippines
Best Sunset View from Land
1. Quezon City Circle
Parks are among the most unlikely places for you to experience the sunset. The Quezon Memorial Circle is a popular place not only because of its expansive space and manicured gardens. The Quezon Memorial Circle is also said to be wonderful during sunrise.
This national park is also popular for the magnificent views of the majestic sunset, thanks to its elliptical shape.
The fact that it is also the final resting place of the second official President of the Philippines, Manuel L. Quezon, and his wife, First Lady Aurora Quezon, makes your visit to the historical place worthwhile.
2. Rizal Park
A stroll in the park at any time of the day helps you get into a calm, composed state of mind. It is also amazing to stroll in a park that is near the sea as well. Rizal Park offers both for folks who truly want to relax and watch a magical Manila sunset.
Also, a national park, Rizal Park’s location makes it a perfect place to witness not only the magical sunset but also the sunrise as well. Rizal Park is located in close proximity to the seaside, so the breeze helps cool the park and its nearby barangays.
Moreover, the abundance of natural foliage makes Rizal Park a refreshing place to be in the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila.
3. Harbour Square

Why not view the sunset over a body of water while dining in your favorite restaurant? Image from Wikimapia.
Harbour Square is a long and wide stretch of various bars, cafes, restaurants, and other lifestyle establishments overlooking Manila Bay.
It is a popular destination for anyone who wants to watch sunsets while eating or drinking. It doesn’t have a sunset bar, but there are only a handful of restaurants in Harbour Square where you can dine while listening to great music. Plus, the seaside breeze can rejuvenate any tired soul.
There is a working harbor nearby, so you can take in picturesque views of the Manila Bay sunset decked by a chasing yacht or boat.
4. Mall of Asia (MOA)
Mall of Asia, or MOA, is the biggest shopping mall in the Philippines. It is also located in Aseana City, where the skies are higher as the air space of the business district is not yet fully occupied with condominiums and commercial buildings.
MOA may be big in terms of square footage, but it is considered a mid-sized building, as it only consists of ten floors. As such, the sunset views here are a sight to behold, as the clouds catch the rays of the sun higher in the atmosphere. Also, MOA is a seaside property, so the sunset views here are accented by the movement of the body of water.
If you have enough fill of the simple sunset, fresh air, and clear blue skies, you can head back to the shopping mall complex and do just about anything to your heart’s content. MOA is home to high-end brands, lifestyle spaces like a fitness gym and cinemas, and a slew of restaurants offering a range of local to international cuisine. Some of the restaurants at MOA also offer sunset views, which makes dining always extra special.

8. Patikul Beach, Jolo, Sulu

Bolinao is also a popular destination for folks who wanted to go on island hopping or snorkeling.

The pandemic has changed a big part of our lifestyle. This is especially true for the school activities of our children. They’ll be missing out on some of the best moments of their lives. Remember when hanging out at lunchtime with our friends was one of the things we look forward to or attending our extracurricular activities? Now, our children’s experience of lunch and an afterschool activity comes from a one-hour break of not staring at a screen.

School activities are such a different experience and we’re trying our best to make our children’s experiences as rich as ours. | Photo by August de Richelieu from Pexels
It’s a totally different experience and I’m sure that our children are most likely having video call fatigue and they can’t really do anything about it because classes are still not in session. It’s like never-ending private lessons. A year and a half of this will surely affect our kids’ growth and development. They may be stimulated from school, but are they stimulated enough?
Do children need to have an afterschool activity?
Children don’t need to have an afterschool activity, but having an afterschool activity can really bring in benefits that a normal school doesn’t. This is even more important today where our children are cooped up at home, and class for then is a screen. It takes away so much from them especially those that actually came from real-life school.

Luxury homes in a premium residential enclave have exclusive access to premium amenities and facilities such as a standard regulation-sized basketball court, prominent water features, and outdoor fixtures like a veranda.
Playing around in your luxury home is not enough anymore. Running around your large, spacious backyard is lacking purpose. Maybe your luxury home has a pool? Brittany corporation’s luxury homes have these features and you can find their luxury properties in Alabang, Santa Rosa, Sucat, and Tagaytay. These are great for afterschool activities, but we can elevate it and make it more stimulating by joining an afterschool activity class.
With the debate that school might come back in session, we ask ourselves, are we ready for that? Or do we want to stay at home? If we do stay at home, how can he help our kids to stay motivated or interested in things outside of school? That would be the role of an afterschool activity.

What are the benefits of having an afterschool activity?
We always want what is best for our kids. The extracurricular activities that we let them join should have a positive effect on them. Afterschool activities have so much to offer, just like the luxury homes of Brittany corporation, in terms of growth and advancement. Some of the benefits of afterschool activities are:
It encourages positive habits
Did you know that it takes 21 days to create a habit? Because afterschool activities are usually structured and scheduled, it encourages positive habits. For example, a person that is doing football as their afterschool activity can attain the positive habit of discipline. Have a rigorous and fun physical activity can help our bodies maintain a healthy lifestyle. As they say, start them young!
It teaches time management skills
Time management is one of the most important skills that we will need once we reach adulthood. It is something that we never really thought of as kids because time does not work the same when we are younger. Our perception of time was slower. Let’s introduce the idea of time management to our children early so that they can obtain the much-needed skill.
Sometimes our kids can be overwhelmed with the number of activities they want to do. What we can do is let our kids try different afterschool activities and let them try if they can manage their time properly. Some parents shared that their children would try and finish their homework faster because they would want to join their afterschool activity.
SUGGESTED READ: A Guide to the Future UST in Santa Rosa | Luxury Homes by Brittany
It develops new skills and interests
Because afterschool activities are done outside of school, children can freely explore the activities that they are interested in without the pressure of grades or performing well. They may be able to find out what they want to do or they may even find their passions.
Building problem-solving skills are important, but building interests and hobbies are also some things that we need in our lives. Hobbies are activities that bring us joy or relaxation. If our kids can find their hobby at an early age, they may be able to regulate or control their emotions better.
So we now ask the question, should our kids do afterschool activities?
Should my kids do an afterschool activity?
Definitely. Studies by the Commission on Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education in Washington DC showed that afterschool programs do affect and promote child and adolescent development. When choosing a space for your family, it is best to consider a luxury home that would be able to support afterschool activities.
Moving to an exclusive community with a master-planned development would not only affect your lifestyle, but it would also affect our children’s growth and development. Paying for the premium price amounts to nothing when we’re doing it out of love and for the extra space and safety and development of our children.

Brittany’s luxury homes are spacious and design for that extracurricular our children might want to do.
This is why Brittany Corporation really takes these things into consideration when designing our ready for occupancy luxury homes. Brittany considers that extra space for online dancing classes or that taekwondo class our kids have always wanted!

Most Filipinos are not familiar with traditional Swiss dishes. Unless you eat in a Swiss restaurant or live in a Swiss-inspired luxury house, you will never know the culture of this fantastic country. In the Philippines, Crosswinds has become the leading real estate for Swiss-inspired residences. The property sits on the lush terrain of Tagaytay with over 20,000 pine trees that will make you one with nature. It also helps that there are numerous Swiss restaurants around the area that you can try. Therefore, let me introduce you to some traditional dishes for you to have a taste of their wonderful culture.
Fondue
Fondue is one of the popular traditional Swiss dishes. I’m sure it will seem cliché to eat this in a country that has relied on fondue for centuries. Swiss locals who live in the mountains use fondue on their bread and cheese during cold seasons. Nowadays, this delicacy has been tried on by visitors from all over the country in autumn and spring.
Filipinos who live in luxury condominiums with Swiss-themed properties that had Swiss restaurants are aware that there are different kinds of fondue. But, the most traditional version is dunking country bread in melted cheese, which can be paired with white wine and schnapps or tea as a chaser for a popular winter meal.
Papet Vaudois
This dish is a traditional dish that might sound new to people who’s not familiar with Swiss dishes. Papet Vaudois is a mash of leeks and potatoes that are stewed, which will have an onion-tinged mixture that’s a perfect pair for sausages. This well-known traditional dish is known for its crimson sausage, which is loosely stuffed and plump. This is a good dish to try out whenever you had the chance.
Rosti
This dish is one of Switzerland’s national dishes, even though no one knows the origin of this dish. Most people who are aware of the country’s culture or lived in the Swiss quadrille in Crosswinds Tagaytay will know that this is a farmer’s breakfast in Bern, Switzerland. Nowadays this food is eaten all over the country during breakfast, lunch or dinner. This dish is mostly served in ceramic dishes and is highly delectable if it’s topped with salty bacon, fried eggs, and melted raclette cheese. There are numerous ways to create this dish but the traditional way of making this uses composed of flour, butter, onion, and beef, which is topped by Gruyere. According to locals, this soup was created when a cook was talking to someone, making the floor accidentally brown. Instead of creating another fish, the cook just lives it be. If you go to Basel Carnival, you must have a serving of this dish, served around 3 am.
Polenta With Sausage Ragout Or Braised Beef
Swiss locals and tourist living in the most expensive houses in the Philippines and has traveled in the country are aware of this dish. Polenta is a Cornmeal dish that’s cooked into porridge. Raclette is created by melting an entire cheese wheel in front of a fire and is scraped off to be eaten. It is derived from the French word racler, which means to scrape. It’s a delicious pie that uses leftovers like potatoes, onion, apples, bacon, leek, and cheese. This savory dish came from Valais, Switzerland, and is baked with cheese like a tart. Setting the name aside, you should try these delicious traditional Swiss dishes when you have the chance.
Bundnerfleisch
Have you heard of beef drying? The locals in Switzerland’s eastern mountains have perfected the art of air-drying beef. It usually takes 10 to 15 weeks to have a beef’s upper thigh or shoulder cured. During the drying process, the meat is regularly re-arranged to ensure the even distribution and absorption of salt and other seasonings. It is also periodically pressed to separate the residual moisture. Bündnerfleisch is mostly thinly sliced and served with bread or is often part of raclette. Sometimes, this meet is also cut into strips or little cubes for soups.
Capuns
Most Graubunden locals in the country have their version of this dish. Capuns are made from Spatzle dough and dried meat, which is wrapped in Swiss chard leaves. This delicacy is then boiled in gravy of bouillon, milk, and water. Capuns are best served covered in grated cheese. Historically, this food is originally a farmer’s food that’s become a traditional dish that’s enjoyed by many locals and tourists.
Maluns
If you want to taste a traditional dish from Grisons, you should try Maluns. Maluns are made from boiled and grated potatoes, which are mixed with flour. This mixture is slowly fried in butter until it breaks into balls and crumbs. This is usually served with a compote of apple but it can go with other fruits or various cheese and meat.
Bundner Nusstorte
Bunder Nusstorte is a Swiss walnut cake. Its modern counterpart became popular in the country in the 1960s even though it was invented in the 1920s. This dessert originated from Graubuden but the climate is too cold for walnuts to survive. Therefore, its origin is still highly debated. Some locals believe that a French baker introduced a nut tree that he planted on Val Bregaglia while others believe that this is another version of the shortcrust pastry Fuatscha Grassa. It is believed that a Graubuden who lived in France crossed Fuatscha Grassa with a nut pastry, which gave birth to Bundner Nusstorte.
