State-of-the-Art Kitchens for the Sophisticated Homemaker
Today’s new crop of homemakers are young, sophisticated, fabulous, successful homemaking career women… superheroes who juggle the demands of the modern Filipino family and sometimes two or three careers. These women are serious achievers, who seem adept at just about everything they put their minds to do!
Let us imagine what such a paragon of homemaking success– a cross between A-lister and devoted mom Angelina Jolie and well-known French cuisine chef Julia Child– would be looking for in a kitchen. Perhaps an ultra-modern, sleek and minimalistic kitchen with implements that make life easy… or a well-appointed, hotel-worthy kitchen in which to whip up artsy concoctions and elegant dishes.
A UK firm, Reeva Design, creates kitchens worthy of successful, kitchen-competent supermoms with interiors that are almost futuristic, definitely opulent, beautiful and functional. These make use of equipment powered by solar panels. Wooden panels used in the designs have the lowest formaldehyde content and packaging materials are earth-friendly and sustainable.
A dramatic study in contrast, this kitchen highlights stark black cabinetry with chrome accents, a hardwood floor and light walls.
The relatively small space of a home or a condo need not limit the luxury of a well-equipped and designed kitchen. This creation shows stunning use of space for housing state-of-the-art kitchen equipment and implements.
The gorgeous symmetrical lines of this kitchen, the neutral palette in shades of gray and beige are beautifully complemented by the wooden accents.
Definitely only for the bold, this predominantly black kitchen isn’t for the typical homemaker, with its clean and elegant lines, the gleaming accents and the black floor. James Bond’s wife would find this quite the room for her.

A more flowing design with luxurious lines and curves, this kitchen’s black cabinetry and the featured central island are set off elegantly by the light ceiling and floor. Large floor to ceiling windows give the room plenty of light.
Here is one kitchen that looks more like a space station.
Natural wood flooring and an informal breakfast nook make this room more accessible to the everyday sophisticate.
